FAQ

Here's a few Frequently Asked Questions...

What should I wear to a weekend service?

Wear whatever is comfortable because we have a "come as you are" atmosphere.  If you want to wear shorts, go for it!  If you like to wear flip-flops, wear 'em!  Got tattoos?  Don't hide 'em!  The most important thing is that you feel comfortable to show up on Sunday and give church a try.

What is the music like?

Here at Northgate, one of the ways that we worship is through song.  The Sunday Services offer an energetic, cutting edge spiritual experience, where the drums keep a high energy beat and the electric guitars chime out rhythms and melodies. The songs are easy to learn and fun to sing; you'll find yourself humming them all week!

What do you mean by "worship?"

Worship is a verb, in the continual present tense, that encompasses the whole human being. When we worship God, we literally draw near to God with our hearts and souls bowed down in humble adoration, ready and willing to put God's will into action in our lives.  Through music, prayer, and God's Word we adore God, confess to Him, thank Him for His goodness, and petition before Him for changes in our lives.

How long do the services last?

The Sunday Services last a little over an hour.

What is the preaching like?

The weekend messages at Northgate are God-inspired, Bible-based teachings.  Every week we know you'll laugh, be challenged to think, and walk away from the service with something to practice in the coming week.
